Job Summary

The Residence Hall Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned residence hall(s) and supporting broader Facilities Management operations as needed.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities

• Custodial Duties - 90%

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks for assigned residence hall(s), including :

Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including toilets, vanity areas, and shower rooms.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with residence hall staff, including Resident Directors (RDs) and Resident Assistants (RAs), to foster a positive and well-maintained living environment for students.

Work Environment :

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and / or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Expected Hours of Work :

Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 32 hour per week, 9.5 months per year position.
