EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT

Position Summary :

Black Creek is seeking a confident and proactive Executive Assistant to the President . This role supports the President in his leadership across both Black Creek and Perimeter Properties, including oversight of the new Chattanooga Lookouts stadium project. It is a pivotal position designed to bring structure, focus, and efficiency to a fast-paced and highly visible workload.

The Executive Assistant will act as the President’s right hand—managing his calendar, prioritizing his email inbox, preparing meeting materials, and ensuring follow-through on commitments. This role requires a strong, diplomatic professional who can maximize the President’s effectiveness by serving as gatekeeper, trusted advisor, and organizer. Because this is the first time the President has had dedicated executive support, the right candidate will have the unique opportunity to shape how the role adds value.

The role can be structured as part-time or full-time, with flexibility in work location for the right candidate. A local presence in Chattanooga is required for in-person meetings, with occasional visits to both Black Creek and Perimeter Properties' offices, as well as meetings downtown and at project sites.

Reporting Structure & Collaboration :

  • Reports to : President & Managing Partner
  • Collaborates with : Black Creek and Perimeter Properties Leadership Teams

Key Responsibilities :

Executive Support

  • Manage the President’s calendar, appointments, and travel arrangements, ensuring time is protected and priorities are clear.
  • Manage and prioritize the President’s email inbox, flagging urgent items, addressing routine requests, and ensuring timely follow-up on critical communications.
  • Prepare and organize agendas, briefing materials, and presentations for meetings and events.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence and reports on behalf of the President.
  • Coordinate logistics and materials for board, committee, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Attend select meetings and calls with the President to provide real-time support, take notes, and track follow-up actions.
  • Monitor commitments and track action items to ensure completion.
  • Additional Support (As capacity allows)

  • Provide occasional administrative support to the Black Creek development team to keep projects organized and moving forward.
  • Assist with company-wide initiatives, philanthropic projects, or community events, contributing planning support and ensuring details are managed effectively.

  • Ideal Qualifications :

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment (3–5 years preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal presence; able to interact with civic leaders, partners, and staff with diplomacy and discretion
  • Proactive, resourceful, and confident in establishing effective systems for executive support
  • Skilled at managing competing demands and staying calm under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Experience in or familiarity with residential and commercial development or construction industries a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to legally operate a vehicle.
  • Must have consistent access to a vehicle in good working order.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch, using hands and fingers for detailed work.
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
  • The employee is regularly required to walk on uneven, sloped, or slippery terrain.
  • The employee is regularly required to speak and hear.
  • Must be capable of effectively using close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
  • Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexible : Part-time or Full-time, depending on the candidate
  • Highly mobile role with regular in-person meetings; occasional presence at both Black Creek and Perimeter Properties offices, as well as meetings downtown and at project sites
  • This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
  • Pay

  • Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience; the role may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on the candidate.
