Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Software Engineering, Data Services, AI and business teams to translate complex requirements into actionable data engineering solutions
  • Drive data platform development through the entire lifecycle from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize data pipelines, architecture, and infrastructure
  • Lead the development of technical products and solutions using big data and cloud-based technologies ensuring they are designed and built to be scalable, sustainable, and robust
  • Present complex technical concepts to leaders and non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry best practices to maintain competitive advantage
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading data engineering practice and platforms, or related products
  • Deep understanding of data engineering concepts including ETL / ELT processes, data warehousing, and modern data stack technologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, GCP Big Query) and their data service offerings
  • Strong technical background with the ability to engage in detailed architectural discussions leveraging cloud technologies and diverse coding languages
  • Experience with modern data tools like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, and data lake technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences
  • Preferred understanding of ML / AI technologies and their data requirements
  • Experience leading large-scale data transformation initiatives
  • Track record of successful data product launches in B2B enterprise environments
