We have 12 OR procedure rooms.There are 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts depending on unit and need. Nurses use a self-scheduling process with a call rotation for weekdays and weekends. Weekend call is about 1 weekend every 6 weeks. Weekend and holiday rotations are mapped out by year. Call for a new OR nurse is typically 6 months out but may do some "buddy" call earlier.

Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
