Position Summary

The Department of Neurology at the University of North Carolina seeks a full-time faculty position in Stroke and Vascular Neurology. The preferred candidate will be BC / BE in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology with interest in an academic medicine career. The faculty will oversee acute stroke care, inpatient stroke service, resident-staffed acute stroke teams, and supervise interventional stroke treatments. Opportunities to oversee general neurology inpatient team are also available.

Responsibilities

• Acute stroke care and inpatient stroke service oversight.
• Resident-staffed acute stroke teams and interventional stroke treatment supervision.
• Call duties include vascular neurology triage services and interventional stroke treatment support.
• Academic time for clinical activities, program building, research, and teaching interests.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

MD, DO, or equivalent.
