Assistant Professor of Elementary Education (R0080035)

The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Elementary Education (R0080035), a 9-month, tenure-track, benefits eligible position. The Assistant Professor of Elementary Education will teach a variety of courses in Education, supervise field experiences, and advise undergraduate students. Teaching can include face-to-face, hybrid, online, and weekend formats. This position includes scholarly research, professional service, and collaboration with local K-12 schools. The successful candidate will participate in faculty governance in the School of Education, the College of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Education, and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D in a field related to Elementary Education (ABD candidates will be considered if the doctoral degree will be complete by the time of employment), as well as teaching experience in a K-6 setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in math pedagogy; experience in college teaching and evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential; experience teaching in multiple modalities; and a record of professional service activities.
