Training Coordinator

Big-D Construction, a National General Contractor of award-winning projects built by exceptional people, has a Training Coordinator opportunity located in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Training Coordinator is responsible to help align the vision of the Learning and Development department with relevant learning initiatives that support corporate operations and business units across Big-D Companies. We are looking for a passionate and collaborative team player that can support the development of engaging programming and communicate with stakeholders effectively. This individual will have the proven ability to complete the full training cycle (assess, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate) and research new educational material while understanding current and future trends within the field of people development.
Experience / Training :
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalency.
Critical Skills :
Strong verbal and written communication skillsMust be self-driven, detail oriented and able to work independentlyFamiliar with a variety of multimedia training methods and platformsPassionate about learning and the development of peopleProficient in MS Office SuiteAdvanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignmentsKnowledge of instructional design theory and implementationDuties, Responsibilities and Expectations : (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)
Hands on management of the learning management system, including curation of content, course evaluation and troubleshooting for the UX experienceSchedule and coordinate internal trainingsMarket company training opportunities and provide information on benefits to encourage participationTrack progress of employees through learning pathways and communicate and encourage continued growthConsult with internal customers in choosing the appropriate training methods for internal training inquiriesCreate training aids and relevant internal collateralResearch and collaborate new training methods that will engage associates and reinforce learning objectiveAssist in conducting organization-wide needs assessment and identify knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.Beginner Instructional DesignGather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational sessionMaintain training records and development activities through the LMSEnsure timely completion of projects by meeting deadlines and milestones while working both independently and collaboratively within the teamMaintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development and adult learning theoryProcessing L&D related invoice, external trainer travel and accommodations and other administrative tasksExemplifies the desired culture and values of the department and organization while working collaborative and respectfully as a team memberPerforms other related duties as needed on special assignments and other projects that progress the company to achieve the goals for the learning and development departmentBenefits :
