Precision Medicine - Medical Affairs Director - Health Systems Oncology
The Precision Medicine - Medical Affairs Director - Health Systems Oncology (PM MAD-HSO) develops ongoing professional relationships with healthcare decision makers across reference laboratories, managed markets organizations, integrated delivery networks, oncology pathway organizations, oncology group purchasing organizations, Medicare administrative contractors, and state oncology / hematology societies. The PM MAD-HSO provides accurate information across the full oncology product portfolio, precision medicine, clinical science, and quality management in a balanced and credible manner consistent with the regulatory environment and the company's ethical standards. This role also serves as a resource for the Medical Affairs (MA) management team on strategic planning and provides mentoring for other team members. Territory will include VA, NC, SC, TN, MS, AL, GA, FL, MD, & Washington DC.
Responsibilities and primary activities include : developing ongoing professional relationships with key decision makers, developing strategic account plans, serving as the primary resource for market dynamics, effectively communicating and coordinating with Regional Medical Scientific Director, attending and supporting scientific and medical meetings, and preparing post-meeting deliverables.
Required minimum qualifications, skills, and experience include : MD, PharmD, PhD, 3 years of dedicated experience in a field-based medical affairs role, experience with organized healthcare system(s) or payer organization(s), thorough knowledge of biomarkers / diagnostics used in oncology, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and a strong customer focus. Preferred skills include field-based medical experience working within precision medicine, research experience in an academic or industry setting, and formal training in health economics and / or outcomes research.
The salary range for this role is $206,200.00 - $324,600.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
