The Maintenance Technician is an entry-level position responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our premises' safety, functionality, and aesthetics.

Responsibilities

  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
  • Perform preventative maintenance on injection machines, auxiliary equipment, injection molds, robots, and all other production equipment.
  • Perform daily 5s tasks as needed and monitor overall safety regarding equipment.
  • Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
  • Undertake activities of pest control, such as spraying insecticide
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements : Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
  • Physical Requirements

    The ability to stand and walk for extended periods is essential, as the position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various facilities and equipment throughout the day.

  • Maintenance tasks often require lifting and carrying heavy objects, equipment, tools, and materials. The ability to lift objects of a certain weight (e.g., up to 50 pounds or more) safely and with proper lifting techniques is crucial to prevent injuries.
  • Maintenance may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to access equipment, inspect tight spaces, and perform repairs.
  • Climbing ladders and stairs and using elevated platforms to access machinery, systems, or structures for maintenance and repair.
  • Maintenance tasks may involve pushing or pulling heavy carts, equipment, or materials.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety goggles, ear protection, and appropriate footwear, is mandatory to minimize the risk of injuries.
