Job description

Business Development / Sales

A premier construction client is looking for a connected Business Development expert to drive new business across Midwest's precast and heavy steel construction industry. The ideal candidate will be capable of generating new and diverse sales opportunities with major complicated builds. Their compensation package has a negotiable base salary range in the six-figures with additional commission that can match.

Business Development Duties :

  • Scout opportunities to leverage competitive advantages to increase our market share
  • Confidently present to new clients to develop sales opportunity
  • Stay in tune with current market trends, including material prices, lead-times, and industry standards
  • Develop innovative and non-traditional means to increase market share and profitability

Business Development Qualifications :

  • Experience in Sales / Business Development in heavy construction projects
  • Expertise in precast and structural steel builds
  • Previously established network of contacts and relationships with Midwest GC's and subcontractors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task based upon priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record in sales and customer service
