Utility Worker, Surface (F / M / X)

About the role :

  • Our Maintenance department, composed of over 50 people, is focused on delivering safety and reliability, and regulatory compliance for our manufacturing site.
  • As a Surface Utility Operator, you will provide utility and cleanup maintenance support for all surface facilities. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the growing Soda Ash family and have a positive impact on the transformation journey of Solvay.
  • You will be accountable for :
  • Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, painting, moving materials, cleaning and baghouse maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on an on-site working mode.

About you :

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Competencies :
  • Must be able to learn and apply all safety requirements.
  • Must possess above average written and organize required job activities and willing to work in dusty, hot and / or noisy environments.
  • Must have the ability to work with others and be team oriented.
  • Must be able to lift, pull / push and carry equipment, tools and other objects weighing up to fifty pounds.

    • About the pay and benefits :

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all : compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $33.00 / hr to $34.00 / hr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and / or other incentives.
