Job Title : Senior Accountant
Location : Atlanta, GA
Compensation : $45 – $55 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Job Description :
A growing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role is responsible for managing accurate financial reporting across multiple business units and locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in accrual accounting and reconciliations, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Prepare and record accruals for major expense categories such as facility rent, marketing, and other operational costs .
- Complete balance sheet and account reconciliations related to assigned functions.
- Support month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with internal accounting team members to ensure timely financial close and reporting.
- Maintain organized records to support internal and external audit requirements.
Systems and Tools :
Primary ERP : Workday Finance – strong experience required .Blackline – for account reconciliations.VisualLease – lease accounting software ( nice-to-have ).Adaptive and Concur – minimal involvement.Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).Experience :
4+ years of progressive accounting experience.Experience in multi-location or retail-style environments preferred (industry flexibility).Proven ability to perform accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries independently.Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entries, and accrual accounting.Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems.Experience with Workday Finance and Blackline strongly preferred.Soft Skills :
Hard-working, detail-oriented, and dependable.Able to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities.Takes deadlines seriously and delivers consistent, accurate results.Works well independently with minimal supervision.Strong internal collaboration skills; minimal external communication required.Workload and Structure
