Garden Maintainer

Perform routine maintenance and repair of building and performance of related work in all Garden properties including perimeter fence. The primary responsibility of a maintainer includes Painting, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry, shop work and automotive repairs.

Specific duties and responsibilities :

• Fulfill assigned work orders. Ability to take direction from management and effectively communicate with managers, team members and garden staff.
• Execute new projects from inception to completion related to the construction or fabrication or new structures or items.
• Maintain all maintenance shops, storage rooms in an orderly fashion and complies with Garden safety regulations.
• Monitor the work of Assistant Maintainers and ensure all assigned projects are completed safely and satisfactorily.
• Maintain records, inventory, and prepare reports on work completed and materials used
• Inspect tools, equipment and vehicles and maintains supply inventory
• Demonstrate proficiency in working on ladders, lifts and other work platforms
• Perform office moves and assemble / move / deliver furniture and supplies
• Set up tables, chairs, tents, stages and equipment for Garden related events
• Perform snow removal by using all types of snow clearing equipment included but not limited to snow blowers and shovels.
• Participate in all training provided by the Garden
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

Ability to move up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Baseline Work Schedule :

Tuesday Saturday with Sunday- Monday off, 4pm 12am
