Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a valid CA license and advanced fetal monitoring certification for night shifts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor / high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
  • Care includes high-risk pregnancy monitoring, fetal heart monitoring, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries
  • May be required to float to postpartum and provide couplet care for mothers and newborns if there are insufficient perinatal RNs
  • Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00-07 : 30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
  • Main duties include monitoring high-risk pregnancies, assisting with deliveries, and providing newborn care as needed
  • Scrubs provided for L all RNs wear navy blue
  • May be required to float between facilities within the state
  • Must commit to working at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Minimal RTO is allowed; all requests must be submitted upfront
  • Parking available with a fee
  • Pre-start modules to be completed prior to first shift

  • Active CA RN license in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Certifications required : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM, and FHM
  • Experience with high-risk pregnancies, fetal heart monitoring, and C-sections required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • LA Fire Card dated within the last 30 days required
  • References : 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
  • Must not be a former permanent staff within the last 3 months or live within a 50-mile radius
