We are seeking candidates to support children with autism and related developmental needs in a team-based setting. This role offers a $500 retention bonus for candidates with 6+ months of experience working with kids or adults with special needs in California.

Overview

Behavior Technician role with ABS Kids. Provide one-on-one support under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement individualized behavior plans and collect progress data. This position focuses on helping children develop essential life skills and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Make a difference in the life of a child.
  • Implement individualized behavior plans and protocols designed by BCBA supervisors.
  • Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
  • Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
  • Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social / emotional skills.
  • Assist with getting up and down off the floor and moving quickly as needed.
  • Learn new things daily, work independently, and provide high-quality care to the kids served.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of documented experience working with kids or adults with special needs.
  • High energy, playful, creative approach.
  • Dependable and reliable for clients and families.
  • Ability to repeatedly get up and down off the floor and move quickly.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.
  • Tech savviness to learn data collection software and use basic office software.
  • Interest in evidence-based methods based in science and proven effective.

  • $20.00 - $24.50 / hour
  • $500 retention bonus after 90 days of employment
