Laundry Aide Primary Responsibilities
The Laundry Aide is responsible for providing the full range of laundry services to the facility, staff and residents and to maintain a successful laundry program that meets facility quality assurance standards.
Responsibilities
Laundry Aide will follow established policies / procedures of laundry tasksUse proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry departmentUse proper protective clothing / equipment while performing laundry dutiesLaundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedulesMaintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all timesReport and document resident and / or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility's policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting systemQualifications
The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English languageMust be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbsMust be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift
