- Experience with critical care drips and medication administration
- Vent management and trach care experience
- Ability to manage medical devices such as chest tubes and drains
Description :
The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit.
The unit provides care for critically ill patients.
The average daily census is approximately 7 patients.
Patient types include those with sepsis, COPD, CHF, chest pain, and respiratory illnesses.
The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1 : 2-3, depending on acuity.
The role includes managing multiple patients, potentially consisting of ICU and Med / Tele patients.
Teamwork and open communication are essential in this environment.
Support staff includes a Charge Nurse and a House Supervisor.
RNs will have access to phlebotomy and RT services 24 / 7.
Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs.
The department utilizes an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Applicants should be comfortable with technology and equipment relevant to patient care.
Constructive feedback and adaptability are important for personal and team development.
Scrub color is navy, and undershirts must be white or navy.
Due to facility policies, certain footwear is not permitted.
The position emphasizes a culture of collaboration and accountability within the nursing team.
