PRODUCTION MANAGER - 2nd Shift

Join the team at Pilgrim's and manage the 2nd shift production operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the further processing production operations of the plant.
• Coordinate production, maintenance, sanitation, quality, shipping, and receiving areas.
• Monitor performance of each department to meet production efficiency, yield, and quality goals.
• Set objectives and review shift's performance versus objectives.
• Encourage subordinates to find ways to reduce cost.
• Ensure sanitation meets USDA standards.
• Co-ordinate production and sanitation maintenance to meet daily needs.
• Analyze equipment daily and review with maintenance superintendent.
• Provide a clear sense of direction for supervisors to work toward and encourage teamwork to achieve goals.
• Establish challenging goals and standards for each supervisor and encourage them to give their best effort.
• Ensure effective utilization of human resources by training subordinates, motivating consistent performances, appraising performance, recommending salary action, and developing for potential promotion.
• Monitor operations to meet company policies, quality specifications, USDA and OSHA standards.
• Conduct plant inspections to eliminate hazardous conditions.
• Manage all aspects of operations to assure a safe working environment.
• Take immediate action to eliminate improper practices or hazardous conditions.

Qualifications

Educational requirement : High School Diploma / GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
