Key Responsibilities
Outside Sales (Primary Focus)
Grow territory through solution-based selling of industrial gas and related products
Maintain and expand existing customer base
Negotiate pricing, terms, and project scopes
Use CRM tools (e.g., Outlook, Call Proof) for territory planning and time management
Build long-term customer relationships and manage supply agreements
Monitor and manage customer accounts receivable
Resolve customer issues using internal resources
Collaborate with branch managers to support retail sales
Complete administrative tasks (e.g., expense reports, pricing sheets, profitability analysis)
Meet sales goals and objectives
Inside Sales (Occasional Coverage)
Prepare customer quotes and handle incoming orders
Support account management and collections
Conduct outbound calls to grow smaller accounts
Promote additional products via phone
Track sales activity and goals using CRM tools
Maintain a positive, professional attitude with all stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
1-3 years of sales experience (industrial / welding products strongly preferred)
Proven territory management and customer relationship skills
Strong time management, communication, and critical thinking abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Understanding of financial terms (e.g., gross margin)
