Hire Type : Direct Hire
Compensation : $180k - $210k + Bonus
Job Summary :
We have an opening for an Automation Manager to lead our in-house high-speed automation department. The ideal candidate will possess both strong technical knowledge and an ability to lead teams.
Job Duties :
- Oversee the design of automation for a variety of products and assemblies using knowledge of electronic controls, pneumatic actuators, mechanical systems, and operator interfaces.
- Oversee the development of new automation concepts / specifications or make improvements to existing products with input from a number of sources (i.
e., manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, marketing, etc.).
- Guide the design effort in creating prototype and production drawings.
- Oversee setting, implementing and maintaining work schedules to ensure project completion.
- Observe work and performance of machine builders and design engineers. Help resolve any obstacles or issues.
- Recommend or implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiency.
- Provide technical support by providing information and answers to other engineers, departments and customers.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in design engineering or related field.
- 5+ years supervisory or leadership experience.
- 7+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lead teams, effectively communicate priorities and drive projects forward.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
