Sales Engineer

Location – Kansas City In-Office M-TH with Fridays Optional

Travel Required – Minimal

Classification – Exempt

Salary Range $50,000-$60,000 + Commission

Role Description

The Sales Engineer is charged with ensuring complete customer satisfaction and understanding of the AutoAlert suite of products through all stages of the sales process.

You are a team player with problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset. You will be part of a diverse, collaborative sales team of hardworking individuals to generate new revenue and relationship building.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
  • Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical end users
  • Complete and submit all paperwork and / or reports required by the company, including but not limited to weekly status reports
  • Achieve key performance metrics and goals
  • Demonstrate product usage
  • Represent product to customers online, onsite, and at trade shows such as NADA and Digital Dealer, etc.
  • Convey customer requirements to the sales team
  • Regularly discuss your ideas, initiatives, and status reports with your manager to achieve established goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Your Impact and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years sales experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of market and competition
  • Customer support experience
  • Excellent customer-facing soft skills to interact with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving and results
  • Ability to adapt positively to changing priorities and to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but works with other team members inside and outside of the department.
