Job description

Ultrasound Technologist - General Sonography

Location : Sumter, SC 29150

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 4x10-Hour Nights (9 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM)

Orientation : 16 Hours (Non-Billable)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (General Sonographer) for a 13-week night shift assignment in Sumter, South Carolina . The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, demonstrating accuracy, compassion, and technical expertise in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Schedule

  • Shift : 4x10-Hour Nights (9 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM)
  • Days : Monday - Thursday
  • On-Call : None required
  • Block Scheduling : Not guaranteed
  • Orientation : 16 Hours (Non-Billable)

Requirements

  • Certifications :

    • BLS (American Heart Association required)

  • ARRT (Sonography)
  • Preferred Certification : RDMS - Abdomen (AB)
  • Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions)
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound / sonography experience preferred

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general and abdominal ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
  • Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information in the EMR system
  • Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to deliver efficient and high-quality diagnostic services

    • Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Current ARRT (S) or RDMS credential
  • Active BLS certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on the night shift
  • Strong communication, time management, and technical skills
