Department Information

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) offers ABET-accredited Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, a Master's in ECE, and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering. We provide hands-on lab experiences, internship opportunities, and student-facing activities to develop technical and professional skills.

Research areas include neuromorphic computing, biomedical sensing, advanced battery technology, smart vehicles and IoT, artificial intelligence and robotics, renewable energy generation and distribution, semiconductor materials and devices, and antenna / electronic design. ECE students code solutions that shape the future.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a preferred start date of January 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

A commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the university, department, and discipline is expected of all non-tenure track faculty. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Teaching undergraduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Service to Department / College / University / professional community is expected

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • OR

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level in electrical engineering
  • Evidence of implementing innovative and / or research-supported teaching practices
  • Prior electrical engineering industry experience
  • A Ph.D., or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or a related discipline
