Schedule Details / Additional Information :

Shifts : Nights (8 and 12 hours)

Rotation : Every third weekend and holiday rotation

Incentives :

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

RN Referral Bonus : $5,000

Unit Overview :

Be part of our thriving 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit where you will care for a diverse patient population including :

Post-operative craniotomy patients.

Spine surgery patients : cervical, thoracic, and lumbar.

Stroke patients as part of the Comprehensive Stroke Program.

Major Responsibilities :

Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment and care planning, engaging patients and families.

Monitor patient conditions and make adjustments to care plans as needed.

Implement safety strategies to ensure optimal patient safety and readiness for learning.

Coordinate discharge planning through collaboration with the healthcare team.

Promote a culture of safety by identifying and addressing potential risks.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Licensure, Registration, and Certification Required :

Current RN license and BLS certification.

Education Required :

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Experience Required :

A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Strong patient care orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Demonstrated decision-making skills and proficiency in patient assessment.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, standing, and walking frequently.

Capable of lifting and transferring patients as needed.

Exposure to chemicals, hazardous waste, and communicable diseases may occur.
