Job description

Position : Manufacturing Quality Technician

Location : Asheville, NC, 28804

Duration : 6 Months

Job Type : Temporary Assignment

Work Type : Onsite

Shift : 1st Shift – 06 : 00AM to 04 : 00 PM (or) 08 : 00 AM to 05 : 00 PM

Pay Range : $15.00 - $20.00 / Hourly

Summary

This role provides an opportunity to take on technical challenges in a collaborative environment while supporting critical quality functions. You will play an important part in ensuring inspection accuracy, maintaining compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards, and contributing to the company's mission of improving global health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with cGMPs and regulatory requirements for inspections and part qualifications.
  • Serve as a GMP resource for Production and other internal teams to prevent regulatory issues and client dissatisfaction.
  • Perform First Article Inspections using tools such as calipers, CMM, and other metrology equipment.
  • Complete data entry for NCMs (Non-Conforming Materials) and MRB (Material Review Board) items.
  • Track and trend NCM data for the site.
  • Conduct timely incoming inspections to support production schedules.
  • Follow all safety protocols and required job-related training.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support continuous operational improvement.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a Quality Assurance role within a GMP environment
  • ASQ CQT (Certified Quality Technician) certification
  • Experience with NCM and MRB processes
  • Familiarity with tracking and trending quality data
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / blueprints
  • Proficiency with metrology equipment (e.g., calipers, CMM, measurement tools)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to safety and compliance standards
