Summary
The Accountant, a key member of the General Ledger Accounting team, plays a crucial role in supporting the financial statement close cycle and operational accounting functions. This position is responsible for ensuring timely reporting and strict adherence to GAAP and company policies. Responsibilities include monthly close activities, addressing ad hoc stakeholder requests, and contributing to various projects. The Accountant will be part of an innovative team focused on delivering high-quality reporting, optimizing the close process, and enhancing close governance. Reporting to the Director of Accounting-General Ledger, this role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
What You'll Do
Prepares for month and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review, utilizing accounting knowledge
Ensures the accuracy, completeness, and conformance of accounting transactions to departmental, organizational, and compliance policies and standards
Performs activities within a public company's internal control environment, in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, to maintain organizational compliance
Manages stakeholder requests, researching and responding to complex inquiries, and escalating as necessary
Applies strong accounting knowledge, acumen, and technical expertise
Collaborates with business partners to understand new activities and provide financial guidance
Supports internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
Participates in special projects, including initiatives for process improvement
Undertakes additional tasks to contribute to the team's overall objectives and key results
What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field
2+ years of general accounting experience
An associate's degree in accounting with 3-6 years of significant progressive experience in accounting would be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
CPA certified or equivalent
Public accounting experience
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and internal controls
Proficient in accounting software (Blackline, BNA, Coupa, Intacct, Workiva, or Workday experience preferred)
Advanced computer skills (Google and / or MS Office suites), including spreadsheet data analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach, keen attention to detail, and critical thinking
Excellent communication (written, verbal, and listening) and collaborative skills for effective interaction with diverse personalities internally and externally
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet goals and targets
Self-motivated with a propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
High level of integrity

Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
How You'll Be Rewarded
Salary range in the US : $68,000.00 - $108,000.00
A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
