Admissions Counselor

Summary : The Admissions Counselor reports to the Assistant Vice Provost of Enrollment Management and is responsible for the recruitment and selection of undergraduate, domestic first-year students and for representing the University in a professional, knowledgeable, and responsive manner. Recruitment duties include aggressively managing a recruitment territory, including extensive travel to high schools, college fairs and other programs to talk with students, parents and high school counselors about Temple University. Other primary duties include reading and evaluating freshman applications and presenting on campus information sessions to prospective students and their families. The Admissions Counselor also attends and supports Open Houses, Experience Temple Days, Regional Receptions, Temple Promise and Transfer Days. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree and at least one year of admissions related experience. Experience with planning, facilitating, and participating in on-campus and off-campus recruitment events and delivering informational presentations to individuals and groups. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
