Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a Level II trauma hospital, with BLS, NBCOT, and WA OT license required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital setting with coverage for 2 ICUs, trauma care, and multiple acute units including med / tele, nephrology, oncology, surgery, ortho, and neuroDay shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts (8 : 30am-5 : 00pm), with weekend work requiredTypical caseload of 15-20 patients with a goal to see 5-6 patients per dayFacility utilizes Epic EMR and Epic experience is requiredNo floating required between like units but travelers may be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby sister hospitalPatients include those with acute and chronic disorders requiring functional activities and assessmentsConduct both functional ADL and cognitive assessments such as Pillbox test, Allen, SLUMS, and CAMProvide skilled interventions focused on discharge recommendationsWork collaboratively with a team that includes three COTAs and participates in interdisciplinary roundsScrubs may be any color except reddish orangeMust commit to working at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)All required modules must be completed prior to start and annuallyPrevious permanent staff may return as travelers only after a 3 month waitFloating between facilities within the state may be expectedLicense required if applicable\n \n Requirements\n
