- Multi-Pass Tack Welding :
Utilization of the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Process.
Application of MIL-10718-M (A-5A) Filler Metal of MIL-E-22200 / 1.Execution in both the Vertical Up (3F) and Overhead (4F) positions.Burning : Proficiency with Oxygen / Propane Burning Torch.Heating : Proficiency with Oxygen / Propane Heating Torch.Comprehension : Ability to understand complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches, including weld symbols, material types, datum, and reference lines.Measurement : Ability to comprehend fractional dimensions using a ruler.Layout : Ability to layout piece parts for fabrication and assembly.Assembly : Ability to assemble structural piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality manner.Physical Demands : Experience working in a physically demanding environment (shipbuilding, steel fabrication, etc.).Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with OSHA regulations relevant to the shipbuilding industry.Tool Usage : Proficiency in using vibratory tools (grinders and needle guns).Gouging : Proficiency in Air Carbon Arc Gouging.Work Planning : Ability to utilize Work Packages and Drawings to plan and execute work.Execution : Ability to use Molded Lines and Ship Reference Lines to execute required work.Complex Assembly : Ability to Erect, Set, and Makeup Complex-shaped Shell Plates.Structural Assembly : Ability to Erect, Set, and Makeup Decks, Bulkheads, Longitudinals, trunks, etc.Installation : Ability to Install and Replace Hull Inserts and Penetrations, as well as Install Miscellaneous and Complex Foundations.Application Process
