Overview
Lead Maintenance Mechanic, Long Term Care (LTC) for The Good Samaritan (GSS ND Oakes). This is a full-time, 8-hour shift position located in Oakes, ND.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks completed in a safe, professional manner.
- Maintain safety around patient / resident care areas; keep tools out of reach of children.
- Possess basic mechanical knowledge; competently use hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges.
- Work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals when helpful.
- Perform and oversee quality inspections to ensure work orders meet acceptable engineering practices.
- Support safety, morale, and efficiency of the department; evaluate building and equipment repairs.
- Act as a resource to staff and assist management with hiring, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and department operations.
- Direct and supervise other maintenance mechanics; assist management with office procedures, work orders, inventory, procedures, and system improvements.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally; troubleshoot conditions and situations effectively.
- Work all shifts as scheduled; comply with corporate and facility policies and dress code.
- Work independently with minimal supervision; know applicable codes, specifications, and ordinances.
- May perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems (including boiler operations), maintain campus grounds, and perform other trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, bed repair) as needed.
- May require on-call duties as directed by the department.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school or vocational training preferred.Five years of experience in building systems preferred.Valid driver's license may be required; must maintain a good driving record if applicable.Benefits
