Pharmacy Technician II

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD ("The HARRIS CENTER") is looking for a certified Pharmacy Technician II to embark on a rewarding healthcare career! Reporting directly to our dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, providing essential services in the preparation of consumer prescriptions. This vital role adheres strictly to the rules and regulations set forth by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, ensuring the highest standard of service for our valued patients. Your Role in Action :

• Assists patients with prescribing to Patient Assistance Programs to acquire "free medication" where applicable and appropriate for the patient.
• Prepares prescriptions
• Pre-packs supplies, generates reports and maintains appropriate inventory levels
• Conducts monthly unit inspections where medications are dispensed, stored, and administered.
• Identifies and retrieves outdated supplies.
• Orders pharmaceuticals and supplies in a manner that optimizes cost and contract compliance
• Compliant with agency educational and licensure requirements
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
