Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with ARRT certification, BLS, and outpatient imaging experience for a rotating day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based at an outpatient imaging center connected to an acute care hospital
  • Performs diagnostic x-ray, fluoroscopy (esophagram, UGI, SBFT, enema, arthrograms, HSG), and dexa scans
  • Typical patient population includes outpatients requiring routine and specialized radiographic studies
  • Rotating 8-hour day shifts Monday through Saturday within operating hours of 6 : 30am–6 : 00pm on weekdays and 7 : 00am–3 : 45pm on Saturdays
  • Weekend shifts required on a rotating Saturday basis
  • No on-call required
  • Clinician may float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities as needed
  • Epic EMR charting system is used and experience is required
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Responsibilities include performing a range of diagnostic imaging exams and limited fluoroscopy procedures as outlined
  • Candidates may need to work some major holidays, covering at least 2 of the 3 : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year
  • All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed
  • Permanent staff must have a 3-month separation before returning as a traveler; travelers must take a 6-month break after a 1-year assignment before returning
  • Hepatitis B vaccination is required; titers or declinations are not accepted
  • Free parking is provided on site

    • Requirements

  • Active ARRT (R) certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant X-ray technologist experience
  • At least 10 hours of specific training in fluoroscopy required
  • References from a minimum of 2 supervisors covering 1 year in a comparable specialty within the last three years
  • Must be willing and able to float as needed
  • License required if applicable
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
  • Must provide copies of required certifications, SS card, and driver's license
  • Completion of required training modules pre-start and annually
  • Accepts first-time travelers
