Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with ARRT certification, BLS, and outpatient imaging experience for a rotating day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Position is based at an outpatient imaging center connected to an acute care hospitalPerforms diagnostic x-ray, fluoroscopy (esophagram, UGI, SBFT, enema, arthrograms, HSG), and dexa scansTypical patient population includes outpatients requiring routine and specialized radiographic studiesRotating 8-hour day shifts Monday through Saturday within operating hours of 6 : 30am–6 : 00pm on weekdays and 7 : 00am–3 : 45pm on SaturdaysWeekend shifts required on a rotating Saturday basisNo on-call requiredClinician may float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities as neededEpic EMR charting system is used and experience is requiredScrubs are providedResponsibilities include performing a range of diagnostic imaging exams and limited fluoroscopy procedures as outlinedCandidates may need to work some major holidays, covering at least 2 of the 3 : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New YearAll travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as neededPermanent staff must have a 3-month separation before returning as a traveler; travelers must take a 6-month break after a 1-year assignment before returningHepatitis B vaccination is required; titers or declinations are not acceptedFree parking is provided on siteRequirements
Active ARRT (R) certificationCurrent BLS certificationMinimum of 1 year of relevant X-ray technologist experienceAt least 10 hours of specific training in fluoroscopy requiredReferences from a minimum of 2 supervisors covering 1 year in a comparable specialty within the last three yearsMust be willing and able to float as neededLicense required if applicableMust live at least 50 miles from the facilityExperience with Epic EMR is requiredMust provide copies of required certifications, SS card, and driver's licenseCompletion of required training modules pre-start and annuallyAccepts first-time travelersBenefits
