Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Seymour, Indiana (47274) - Indiana nursing jobs Healthcare Setting : Adult Medical / Surgical & Pediatric Units Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 16, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week) Guaranteed Hours : 34.5 hours per week Orientation : 8 hours, hands-on with a preceptor Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820 - $1950 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Indiana RN license or compact state Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical Nursing Previous travel nursing experience required Pediatric nursing experience required American Heart Association BLS certification (required) ACLS certification (preferred) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in medical-surgical units Conduct head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, IVs, blood products, and perform point-of-care testing Operate clinical equipment including telemetry monitors, vein viewers, bladder scanners, and utilize Meditech charting systems Collaborate with LPNs and CNAs to support patient daily living activities and mobility Float between adult medical and surgical units as needed Maintain professional appearance in compliance with healthcare facility dress code (any color scrubs, closed-toe shoes, long hair pulled back) Participate in unit-specific training, orientation, and ongoing education Work major holidays as scheduled (Christmas Eve / Day or New Year's Eve / Day) Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse in Seymour, Indiana, and make a difference in patient care while enjoying a rewarding travel nursing experience!
