Buyer Requirements / Responsibilities
Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail buying or merchandising (home furnishings a plus)Willingness to commute 2-3 per week to Dayton, OHLead product purchasing strategy and manage assigned merchandise categoriesAnalyze product performance, sales metrics, and market trends to guide buying decisionsNegotiate vendor agreements, pricing, and promotional programsCollaborate with marketing, visual merchandising, and ecommerce teams to execute cohesive product strategiesManage pricing, inventory, and product life cycle to meet margin and profitability goalsAttend trade shows and market events; travel up to 75% requiredBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field preferredStrong analytical, negotiation, and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP / Merchandising systems
