About The Position

Job Title : X-Ray Tech

Profession : Radiologic Technologist

Specialty : Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum one year required, which can be substituted with clinical education experience

License : State license required

Certifications : ARRT certification required

Must-Have : Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required

Description :

Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.

Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation.

Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy, and physiology required.

Knowledge of radiographic positioning is essential.

Should possess a thorough understanding of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation is expected.

Physical requirements include prolonged standing and walking.

Must be able to lift, position, push, and transfer patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.

Responsible to the Service Line Director.
