Senior Strategic Sourcing Buyer - Indirect

Job Summary

The Supply Chain department manages all aspect of procurement for The Aerospace Corporation. We provide the opportunity to be a part of a diverse team that purchases a wide range of capital, indirect and government funded products and services including I.T., specialized equipment, facilities services and engineering, design, and construction. As the Senior Strategic Sourcing Buyer - Indirect (Subcontracts Admin Staff IV) , you will provide your experience and understanding of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement of indirect / direct goods and services.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead complex strategic sourcing and procurement activities and manage strategic supplier contracts of indirect goods and services for The Aerospace Corporation
• Evaluate and improve sourcing activities, analyzing current suppliers and cost
• Complete formal market analysis to investigate market behaviors, trends and influences on the category requirement
• Identify the best contract approach, pricing model, and category management governance
• Lead RFI's, RFP's, RFQs, RFS's, supplier / source selection, proposal evaluation teams, negotiations (with internal stakeholders like legal and risk management and external with the supplier) and awarding best value contracts.
• Evaluate current need and forecast product and services demands for assigned contracts
• Implement procedures to continuously evaluate suppliers, costs and deliverability
• Administer and lead post-award supplier management / administration, including SRM, continuous improvement / transformation / innovation as required

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
