Aircraft Mechanic III - Armament

General Description

The team will augment services provided by Air Force military personnel to modify, maintain, inspect, control corrosion, overhaul, repair, regenerate and store various weapon systems, related components, missiles, engines, ground support equipment and vehicles.

DUTIES

• Perform disassembly, inspections, operation tests, troubleshooting, assembly, installation, and other necessary maintenance functions at an advanced level on launchers, racks, gun systems, and pylons IAW Work Control Documents (WCD) and applicable technical order (TO) data.
• May be required to receive just-in-time (JIT) training from the Government for other aircraft MDS armament system removal, installation, and operational checkout as required.
• Receive specialty armament training on A-10 and F-16 to remove / install guns and drums on such aircraft as well as accomplish applicable documentation and operational checkouts.
• Assist with limited towing.
• Other duties as assigned.
