Public Safety Officer

Overview

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Public Safety Officer at our Denver airport. Established in 2001, ACTS-Aviation Security is a subsidiary of ICTS Europe and is a leading provider of security solutions to the U.S. aviation market with operational centers at more than 30 airports across the United States.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with the Denver Police Department (DPD) and Terminal Operations to assess whether individuals present during the overnight closure have a valid reason for being on airport property.
• Monitor and address disruptive behavior during business hours with DPD and Terminal Operations, ensuring compliance with Denver rules and regulations.
• Engage with individuals professionally and utilize de-escalation techniques to manage interactions effectively.
• Document and report incidents in accordance with DEN policies and procedures.
• Maintain a DEN user account for the enterprise network.
• Monitor CCTV, document events, and make proper notifications when necessary.
• Engage with badge holders as directed by airport security to enforce and educate on DEN rules and regulations.
• Ensure personal equipment (radio, mobile phone, flashlight) is available and functional.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range : $25 per hour

Required Education, Experience and Skills

Education : High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience : Minimum 2 years supervisory experience and experience working with the under-served / homeless community.

Other requirements : Valid driver's license, at least 21 years old.

Job Skills : Strong administrative skills and excellent knowledge of operations.

Communication Skills : Written and oral communication skills in English.

Background & Security Checks

New employees are required to complete an FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and a confirmed ten-year background check.

Environmental Requirements

Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
