Sr Software Test Engineer

Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for firm products. Develops, modifies and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition and processing.

Responsibilities :

• Write and execute manual tests
• Execute automated SW tests
• Carefully analyze and document test results
• Operate a variety of laboratory instrumentation and simulators to perform integration testing, system testing, and functionality testing
• Report on test activities
• Assist software developers and domain experts in designing, performing, and improving verification tests
• Work with scientists, technicians, engineers, marketing, and project management to deliver commercial and internal SW systems
• Work in Scrum (Agile) teams within the software group, closely coordinating with software developers, systems analysts, and software project managers
• Lead and mentor jr level engineers
• Drive projects and timelines

The estimated base salary range for the Sr Software Test Engineer role based in the United States of America is : $126,800 - $190,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
