Registered Nurse
Provide excellent patient care to our patient population
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lives within 5-10 mile radius
Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual
patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
2. Operates under the guidelines by the Texas Nursing Board
3. Oversees nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and
personnel policies and procedures
4. Maintains the Standard of Care by adhering to CMS guidelines, Accrediting and Regulatory agencies,
and the State Board of Nursing to ensure quality of care for successful measurable outcomes
5. Maintains nursing tasks
6. Provides daily updating to our patients
personnel
7. Promotes and maintains nursing staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees,
planning monitoring and appraising job results
8. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support
to patients, friends, and families
9. Provides patient teaching to patient family, and visitors in compliance with policies and procedures
10. Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests
11. Act as a patient advocate to resolve conflicts
12. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules and
regulations, calling for assistance from other health care professionals
13. Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection control policies and
procedures, enforcing medication administration, storage procedures and controlled substance
regulations
14. Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by monitoring confidential information
processing
15. Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records

Work Hours
The current position will be concurrent with clinical staffing for 36 hours per week night shift
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years previous experience in an emergency center, experience in a Free-standing ER a
plus

Working Conditions
Because patients need round-the-clock care, working hours include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Nurses spend considerable time walking, bending, stretching and standing, so they must follow proper body
mechanics to guard against injury. Because of the fast-paced and variable environment of emergency rooms,

Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty
