Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the position of (0.6) School Social Worker at Horace Greeley High School beginning immediately.

Note : Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Conducts individual or group sessions for students in need of explicit support in a wide range of areas including social skills, executive functioning and healthy decision making.
• Experience in crisis intervention.
• Serves as a resource to students to provide counseling that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, and maturity.
• Current knowledge of best practices in educating students with disabilities in inclusive school environments.
• Ability to effectively facilitate group decision-making processes.
• Thorough knowledge of current federal and state regulations governing CPSE, CSE and Section 504.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates leadership in working collaboratively with parents, teachers, students, and building and district leaders.
• Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research, and by maintaining professional relationships.
• Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping.
• Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.

Salary Range : 0.6 salary based on a 1.0 salary range of $71,728 - $151,806.
