Pediatric Gastroenterologist

District Medical Group Inc. (DMG) is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in Metropolitan Phoenix and in conjunction with Valleywise Health Medical Center (VHMC), is seeking a full time Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist.

VHMC is a full-service hospital with a Level 1 Trauma/Burn Center. The hospital is committed to top notch pediatric care and has a Pediatric ED, NICU, PICU and Pediatric Acute Care Unit. There is also a very robust Ambulatory Clinic with general pediatric and subspecialty services adjacent to the hospital.

The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of pediatric GI and hepatology disorders; demonstrated skills in the full gamut of pediatric GI endoscopic and other procedures; excellent teaching and education skills, and strong communication and team skills.

DMG will consider both practicing physicians and newly graduated Fellows.

Spanish language proficiency would be beneficial, but not required. DMG is a non-profit multi-specialty physician group committed to providing clinical services to the underserved population of Maricopa County. VHMC is a teaching institution which hosts 9 residency programs for which DMG physicians are core faculty. The Pediatric Residency is shared with Phoenix Childrens Hospital. DMG and VH are also affiliated with the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Creighton Medical School.
