Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric OR RN with current circulating and scrubbing skills, Epic experience, and a MD or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a Pediatric Operating Room setting
  • Cares for pediatric patients requiring a full range of surgical services, including cardiac, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, trauma, and general surgery cases
  • Day shifts are 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM (Monday through Friday), with Thursdays 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM and a rotational day off
  • Will participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when the OR is closed, primarily for emergency cases
  • No block or set schedules are offered for this role
  • Uses Epic EMR for documentation in both circulating and scrub roles
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where specific facility rules apply
  • Provides operating room care as both circulator and scrub nurse for diverse pediatric surgical cases
  • On-call duties involve covering emergency surgeries during evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Rotational day off ensures variety in scheduling

    • Requirements

  • Active MD or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of OR experience with recent pediatric OR experience
  • Must have circulating and scrubbing experience in the OR
  • Experience in facilities with 500+ bed counts is required
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Robotics experience is a plus
