About Helping Others Manage Emotions Therapeutic Services (H.O.M.E) :
H.O.M.E is a mission-driven behavioral health organization dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centered care to underserved communities. We offer outpatient mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation, therapy, and substance use disorder services. We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis focused solely on client care, with minimal supervisory duties.
Position Summary :
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care to children, adolescents, and / or adults on a flexible, as-needed basis. Supervisory duties include reviewing NPs documentation and providing education as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for clients of all ages (children, adolescents, adults) as scheduled.Develop individualized treatment plans that align with the clients goals, clinical needs, and best practices.Provide medication management services, including prescribing, titrating, and monitoring psychotropic medications for effectiveness, side effects, and adherence.Conduct ongoing psychiatric follow-up appointments to assess progress, adjust medications, and modify treatment plans as needed.Offer psychoeducation to clients and families about diagnoses, medications, potential side effects, and treatment options.Collaborate closely with therapists, psychiatric rehabilitation staff, case managers, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) according to organizational policies and regulatory standards.Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations when appropriate to support integrated care.Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed, including safety planning and referrals to higher levels of care when appropriate.Stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices, state regulations, and professional standards through ongoing education and training.Qualifications :
PsychiatristMD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Active Maryland medical license.Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.Minimum 1 year of outpatient psychiatric experience preferred.Ability to work independently and flexibly within a team environment.Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills.What We Offer :
