LVN NURSE - Full Time

THE PROGRAM

Come and work for a dynamic team at the Vista Hill Center for Child and Youth Psychiatry. Work closely with a team of psychiatrists, clinicians, nursing staff, case managers, and administrative staff in providing exceptional care to children and youth in San Diego County. Work holistically in providing trauma informed care that is evidence based, solution focused, and client centered. Vista Hill Foundation is an agency with over 65 years of experience providing services to the community, and is excited to facilitate the growth of CCYP. Through the utilization of diverse service modalities, such as telepsychiatry / telehealth and face-to-face practices CCYP plans to reduce barriers to mental health services for those who are most vulnerable and in need of care. Work collaboratively in providing timely communication with providers across the systems of care to ensure children and youth receive quick access to mental health treatment for ongoing stability, and to prevent further deterioration. THE POSITION

The LVN Nurse will hold a critical liaison position, and support clients and their families in coordinating medical services, such as follow up with laboratory work and primary care providers. Nurse to communicate with physicians in regards to blood pressure monitoring, lab results, and health history. Furthermore, nursing staff to provide support to youth and their families in ensuring medications are filled, started, and resolve any issues with pharmacies or authorizations. Nurse to be available to youth and families to answer any questions they may have in regards to medication, health and wellness, and to monitor closely for any potential medication side-effects. Nurse to also coordinate with clients receiving prescribed long lasting injectables, and perform the administration of medication under the orders of psychiatrist when needed. Clinic nurse to provide empathic and client centered treatment that meets all county and agency standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse in California with an active license in good standing.
• Must be free of parole and probation for at least three years.
• Must be able to work with a diverse population.
• Bilingual Spanish Preferred
• Ability to pass criminal / background clearance, TB, and drug screen requirements

HOURS

Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Days & hours are flexible between program hours of 8am - 5 : 30pm, Monday - Friday.

PAY

$28.00 per hour

This is a starting rate and may be adjusted up based on education and experience.
