Network System Engineer

We're looking for a versatile

• Network Systems Engineer with intermediate level
• experience to join our client in the oil / gas refinery industry and work side-by-side with our lead engineer. This is a jack of all trades. Needs a good flexible engineer. We need someone with a strong bg in windows, networking from a router switch and network set up and maintaining of that network and also a person who is willing to learn VMware BUT they would prefer someone who already knows VMware. Works with Veeam and Hyper v. They are currently running 6.5 UPDATE 3. The right candidate with work with the existing team to ensure optimal functionality company-wide by maintaining the Active Directory infrastructure consisting of multiple forests and domains. The right candidate will help oversee operations with the existing team for over 100 Windows servers users and Cisco IP telephony and Storage Area Network configuration and maintenance

They will work with the current team to implement, and manage multiple virtual infrastructure environments using VMware ESX / ESXi Enterprise / Enterprise Plus virtualization products and OpenStack to consolidate multiple locations.

• What You'll Do :
• Lead network operations
• : Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, ASAs, and wireless LAN technologies.
• Support end users
• : Provide top-tier customer service and resolve helpdesk tickets with professionalism and urgency.
• Manage systems
• : Administer Windows Servers (2003-2012), Active Directory (multi-domain / forest), Exchange (On-Prem & Online), and IIS / DNS.
• Virtualization & storage
• : Work with VMware vSphere 6.5 (Update 3), Hyper-V, Veeam, and NetApp SANs.
• Security & compliance
• : Enforce cybersecurity policies, maintain patching and backups, and assist with audit preparation.
• Collaborate & grow
• : Partner with our existing team, learn new technologies (OpenStack, Horizon View), and contribute to infrastructure consolidation across locations.
• What We're Looking For :
• 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN / WAN environments
• Familiarity with QoS, network policing, and redundancy / load balancing
• Experience with VMware and willingness to expand virtualization skills
• Solid understanding of Windows technologies and scripting (PowerShell / VBScript)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn and grow

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00 / hr.
