Position : ALLIED-CSTFA - Certified Surgical Technician First Assist (Travel / Contract)

Responsibilities

Assist in surgical procedures by providing first assist support to surgeons.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Engage in self-directed learning to enhance surgical skills.

Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all instruments are prepared.

Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Monitor patient vitals and report any changes during procedures.

Evaluate and improve personal performance based on feedback.

Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow.

Assist in the training of new surgical technicians and interns.

Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

Participate in team meetings to discuss performance metrics and targets.

Assist in inventory management of surgical supplies and equipment.

Experience / Qualifications

Certification as a Surgical Technician or equivalent experience required.

Proven ability to assist in surgical procedures effectively.

Strong commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

Willingness to engage in self-directed learning and skill enhancement.

Experience with maintaining sterile environments and infection control.

Ability to monitor and report patient vitals accurately.

Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with surgical teams.

Ability to document surgical procedures and maintain patient records accurately.

Experience in training new surgical technicians or interns preferred.

Proficiency in inventory management of surgical supplies and equipment.
