The Senior Manager - Data Product Management leads the execution of difficult and strategic data use cases while supporting organization-wide data product management excellence. This role involves independent management of complex, high-impact data use cases and data products while building and mentoring data product managers and contributing to enterprise data product standards. This position drives data product management best practices and helps scale capabilities across the organization. The role requires the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership across multiple departments to shape product vision and strategy.

Partners with data stewards across all business units to ensure comprehensive dataset governanceDrives best practices for the development and support adoption of enterprise-wide governanceCollaborates with Senior Manager of Data Governance on governance strategy implementationCross-functional CollaborationLeads complex cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across multiple departments and external partners

Working Conditions : 95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software / programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors' and / or internal customers' sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.
Fiscal Responsibilities : Contributes to the budget for Data and Governance teams.
Qualifications
Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Management or other related field; Master's preferred7+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years specifically in data product managementExperience leading complex data initiatives and cross-functional transformation effortsProven track record implementing data product management best practices in enterprise organizationsExperience in energy, utilities, or related infrastructure industries preferredSkills / Knowledge / Abilities :
Technical SkillsAdvanced proficiency in SQL and data analysis for strategic decision-makingExperience with data visualization platforms for strategic insights and executive reportingStrong understanding of modern data platforms and enterprise data architectureExperience with data governance tools and frameworks for enterprise complianceKnowledge of privacy and security frameworks in data product developmentFamiliarity with enterprise data and business requirements across industries preferredKnowledge / AbilitiesExperience scaling teams and transitioning from individual contributor to management roles
