Duties : All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology / Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the oncology / Hematology clinic and infusion services. Infusion center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood / Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis Injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.

Required Procedures : N / A - Bone Marrow biopsies are referred to outside provider.

Support Staff : 1 clinic RN, 2 MAs, 2-Front office clerks, 1 quality analyst / billing, and 3 infusion RNs. Currently have a long-term NP who works the M-F 8-5 NP covers any infusions on Fridays and the occasional Friday appointment.

Reason for coverage : Locum coming up on 1 year.

Average daily census : 15-21 patients M-Th shared between the MD and NP with 3 / 4 of appointments going on the MD schedule.

Current call coverage : 24 / 7 each week with around 5 calls per day.

FTE : 1.0 FTE

Minimum Board Certification : BE

EMR System : iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (infusion)
