Roots is an interdisciplinary specialty clinic that provides bottom-up therapy and treatment. We believe that in order to find healing and maximize growth and development, the root of any issue must be identified and resolved. Our interdisciplinary treatment model is founded on the belief that everyone on the team brings unique skills and qualities to our practice. This allows us to offer premium-level treatment services including clinical treatment, rehab therapies, and other complementary services to provide individualized and comprehensive care to our patients.

Roots is seeking an MNRI Practitioner who is passionate about helping patients with a range of neurological, sensory-motor, and regulatory delays and disorders improve their self-regulation, coordination abilities, fine motor and gross motor skills, and overall functional capacities.

General Requirements :

  • Masters degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, or other similar field of study
  • Registered with, and licensed by, the State of Michigan

Roots Qualifications :

  • Specialized training in MNRI
  • Experience working with challenging populations / disorders / diagnoses
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary work, recognizing the importance and value of a holistic treatment approach
  • Job Expectations :

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals for a variety of motor, sensory, regulatory, developmental, and trauma-related disorders
  • Effectively utilize MNRI, CFT, and other specialized treatment protocols to treat disorders
  • Initial assessments completed and signed within three (3) days assessment date
  • Progress notes completed and signed within two (2) days of session date
  • Some after-school / evening and / or weekend availability for patients (minimum of 5 available appointment slots per week)
  • Part-time clinicians expected to have a minimum of 12 available appointment slots per week; full-time clinicians expected to have a minimum of 25 available appointment slots per week
  • High attention to detail when planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting treatment
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully utilize EHR (electronic health record) system for scheduling, documentation, and patient record management.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain regular attendance
